Business Office Coordinator

Full-Time: 37.5 hours/week

Do you enjoy a challenge? Do you like to stay busy? Are you able to keep all of the balls in the air? We are looking for a unique individual with excellent communication and customer service skills who is able to work effectively and efficiently in the Library's business office. We are looking for someone who has experience with:
• Accounts payable from initial coding and entry through check production.
• Cash receipts including record keeping and reconciliation.
• Payroll processing from timesheets through pay.
• Human resources including wage and hour rules, FMLA, workers' compensation claims, and onboarding.
• Employee Benefits including record keeping and open enrollment.
• Retirement plan administration including record keeping.

Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree.
• Previous accounting experience in an office environment desirable, preferably in a public, tax-supported agency. Experience with Blackbaud and/or Paycom a plus.
• Knowledge of human resource functions and legislation.
• Understanding of insurance and retirement products.
• Any combination of education, experience, or training that satisfies the requirements of the position.

Salary Range: $22.26 to $27.82/hour.

Technical Services Acquisitions Assistant

Part-Time: 19 hours/week

Major responsibilities: Order, receive, and invoice library materials using both printed purchase orders and SIRSI acquisitions module.  Develop and maintain professional relationships with vendors, handle returns, credits, claims and cancellations.  Contribute to the management of standing orders and Access tables.  Receive deliveries and notify appropriate staff. Knowledge of acquisitions principles and accounts payable procedures preferred.

Requirements:
Candidate must have the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively as part of a busy team in an office environment. 

Must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally transport up to 100 pounds of library materials.

Possession of Library Technical Assistant Certificate preferred; related experience considered. 

Familiarity with SIRSI preferred. 

Salary Range: $14.44/hour.

Youth/Teen Services Librarian

Part-Time: 12-14 hours/week (Mondays or Tuesdays, Weekends)

Do you like working with kids & teens?  Are you happiest in a noisy, active environment?  Are you comfortable adapting to change?  Do you play well with others?  If this describes you, join our hard-working, fun-loving, collaborative team.  We are looking for a candidate with the people and professional skills to provide outstanding customer service in the library at the desks in KidSpace and the Teen Underground.  This part time position will have some collection development responsibilities and possible storytime rotations.

Requirements:
MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited school
Experience working with children and teens
Excellent customer service, communication, and technology skills

Salary Range: $21-$25 per hour
Nonexempt status

Temporary KidSpace/Teen Summer Reading Challenge Assistant

Part-time: 20 hrs./week (Evenings and Weekends)

Are you flexible and friendly?  Do you genuinely like kids and teens?  We are looking for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills who is able to work primarily nights and/or weekends as needed in our busy KidSpace and Teen Underground this summer from the end of May until the beginning of August.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering questions at the public service desk (often the same question over and over again), handing out high fives (to really excited readers), and playing our giant board game with kids as they check in for our Summer Reading Challenge.

Requirements:
Experience working with children and teens
Excellent customer service, communication, and technology skills
Preference given to MLS/MLIS students

Salary: $13.00/hr. This is a temporary position.
