Take advantage of private one-hour sessions of business coaching.
Counselers from the Chicago Chapter of SCORE® will be at the Library to advise small business owners and start-ups with planning, marketing or financial solutions.

Sessions begin at 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 7:00 pm.
Chicago naturalist and author Joel Greenberg presents a slide-lecture based on his recent book detailing the passenger pigeon's flight to extinction. His book relates how the pigeons' propensity to nest, roost, and fly together in vast numbers made them vulnerable to unremitting market forces and recreational hunting. His cautionary chronicle examines what happens when species and natural resources are not harvested sustainably.

Celebrate National Garden Week with this hands-on outdoor workshop. Learn some tricks to creating interesting containers while beautifying the Library entrance and Lower Level window-well with seasonal arrangements. Bring your garden gloves and a small spade. Dress for the weather.

This 4 week training session meets every Tuesday morning in May. Learn to use the mouse, keyboard, and begin searching the internet. Registering for the May 6 session reserves your seat for all 4 Tuesdays. There is no individual session registration.
Every marcher who registers gets a free t-shirt! Bring your wagon, trike or bike; we will supply the decorations. Children must be accompanied by a grownup (who also gets a t-shirt). Meet at the Notre Dame High School parking lot between 8:15am and 8:45am.
