Shakespeare Project of Chicago - 50-Minute Hamlet & 50-Minute Romeo and Juliet

50-Minute Hamlet & 50-Minute Romeo and Juliet - Come see these two classic tragedies as condensed productions on a single bill! Back by popular demand, The Friends of the Niles Public Library are sponsoring the 19th season of The Shakespeare Project of Chicago. Five plays are being presented in a theatrical reading format. The Shakespeare Project of Chicago is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council and places an artistic emphasis on the language of the plays and leverages the talents of professional actors (members of Actors’ Equity Association).

Intro to Hip-Hop Class

Want to give hip-hop a try? Kids in K-8 are welcome to a intro to hip-hop dance class here at the Library. Rhythm & Beyond, a local studio will be hosting a beginning level dance session.

Whether you’re meeting Harry for the first time, or making your way back through the series, we’ve got a party planned for you! Costumes encouraged, wizarding fun expected! For children in grades 2-8. Registration is required.
