Knights of Niles Chess Club

Kids in grades 1-8 can drop in and learn chess or improve your skills in this fun after school activity. Mr. Chris will help you learn everything from the names of the pieces to winning strategies. Caregivers need to stay in the room with children through grade 2.

Drop in for our year-round short program of stories, songs, and rhymes followed by playtime. Ages 0-2 with a grownup.

Spooky Saturday

Children grades 1-4 are invited to listen to spooky stories, eat a sweet treat, show off your costume, and go trick-or-treating in the library. Parents are welcome to attend. Caregivers should stay in the room with children through grade 2. Come in your costume if you'd like.

Job Seekers: Power Employment Workshop

Free. This nationally recognized program, presented by Business and Career Services Inc. and Illinois workNet, provides expert guidance on smart goals, resume and cover letter writing, effective job searching, and interview techniques. Short breaks are provided. Brown bag lunch, snacks and covered drinks permitted. Registration required.
