Back by popular demand, The Friends of the Niles Public Library are sponsoring the 21st season of The Shakespeare Project of Chicago. Join us for JULIUS CAESAR, a feast of language and persuasion.
Kids in grades 1-8 can drop in and learn chess or improve your skills in this fun after school activity. Mr. Chris will help you learn everything from the names of the pieces to winning strategies. Caregivers need to stay in the room with children through grade 2.
Share stories and songs in Polish (with a bit of English). This storytime is for ages 3 and up together with a parent or caregiver.
Join your schools Battle of the Books team and compete at the Niles Public Library. Students should contact their school to find out how to get on a team. All competitors and their families are invited to a ceremony to honor the winning team and meet a guest author. Congratulations to last years winner, Stevenson School, and best of luck to all of our teams this year!
Kids ages 4-8 can learn yoga poses and breathing techniques and feel relaxed and energized afterward. No experience needed. Please bring a large bath towel or yoga mat with you and wear comfortable clothes. Parents need to stay in the room with children through grade 2.
This is a thank-you celebration for Library Volunteers who share their time and talents with the Library throughout the year. Attorney Jacob Ehrensaft will discuss estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, probate, and guardianship. The importance of planning ahead as well as updating existing documents to reflect changes in the law and personal circumstances will be reviewed.
