Placing Holds

Interested in the new Dan Brown novel? Does someone else have the cat training book out that you need? Did you start watching The Sopranos on DVD and you know you’re going to want Season Two soon?

Here’s how you can place a hold to get the books and DVDs you need:

  1. Log into our Bibliocommons catalog. (If it’s your first time, just put in your library card number and the password “patron”.)
  2. Look up your item.
  3. When you find it, just click the hold button.
  4. The Library will notify you when your book or DVD is ready to pick up. You will find it on a shelf in Patron Services, under your last name.

Our staff goes looking for holds twice a day. If we don’t have something at our own Library, we can often get it from another Library.  If you have any trouble, just call the Adult Services desk at 847-663-6603.
