Computers and Technology


Due to COVID-19 computer access is limited to one 45-minute session per day. Priority to Niles-Maine cardholders. All computers have Internet access and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).

Adult and Teen computers are located on the Lower Level.

Computers for young kids are located in KidSpace on the First Floor.


1-on-1 Tech Help

Niles-Maine cardholders can request an individual technology appointment with a member of the Digital Services Staff. Request an appointment here.



Free WiFi is available throughout the Library. Connect your mobile device by selecting the nileslibrary network, no password required. 

Print & Copy

Print and copy stations are located in the KidSpace, Commons, Lower Level, and Third Floor Reference areas. Print jobs sent from the library computers can be released at any station.

All copiers have the ability to print double-sided and oversize copies (legal and tabloid sizes).

Printing costs are:

  • Black/White: 10¢ per page
  • Color: 50¢ per page

Scan & Fax

There are two SimpleScan stations located on the Lower Level and Third Floor. Instructions on the touch screen will guide you through the process.

The SimpleScan lets you:

  • Scan to USB
  • Scan to Email
  • Scan to Google Drive
  • Scan to Fax – there no charge to Fax.
